Are the Seal of God and the Mark Connected?
Many Christians don't see the connection
between the seal of God and the mark of the beast. 
Why? Because the majority of them believe that
the mark of the beast is a literal mark, like a tattoo, or a microchip embedded in the skin, or an electronic ID card. And they believe that
the seal of God is simply receiving the Holy Spirit when we come to believe in Christ Jesus. So on this page I would like to show you why
the seal and the mark are very much connected and are the same "type" of mark, and yet completely opposite to each other.
Just have a good think about the type of mark that the seal of God and the mark of the beast will be. In Revelation 14 we know that the third angel says that anyone who receives the mark of the beast will be cast into hell fire. In other words, they will be lost. Now think really think about this. Can the government force a physical mark upon you, like a microchip or some electronic device? Yes. How about worship. Could they force you to worship anything other than God? No, because they could not force your heart or mind to do something you didn't want to. So the point is this ... If any of us receive some sort of electronic device that the government force upon us, but we continue to worship God in spirit and truth, keeping His commandments and following Jesus, would we be lost and thrown into hell fire? No, not a chance! A physical mark placed upon us does not mean we would have given our allegiance over to Satan. It's just a tag! It doesn't stop us from worshipping God. And how could we be lost for something that was forced upon us? It's not possible.
Do you see this? I hope so, because this is such an important issue. Satan has deceived the majority of Christians into thinking the mark of the beast will be a literal mark, like a microchip. When all the while he is in the background bringing in the REAL mark of the beast. Let's face it, Satan is a bit more clever than to make the mark a physical one, like some electronic device. That is too easy to spot, and not only that, it doesn't stop us from serving God the way He wants.
Revelation 13:18 ...'Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.'
So we need wisdom and understanding to know what the mark is and the number of the beast. Would it take much wisdom or understanding to identify a microchip or ID card as the mark? Not at all. And what does it say above about the number? Does it say it is the number of a barcode? No, it is the number of a MAN. So when you really look into this issue and think about it logically, you will see that there is no way that the mark of the beast can be a physical mark. Yes, the beast system may use technology to TRACK us and find us and stop us from buying or selling. But in of itself, the mark CANNOT be a physical mark like a microchip, or tattoo, or ID card.
This issue is all down to WORSHIP. The mark and the seal HAVE to be spiritual marks.
So how are the seal of God and the mark of the beast connected? Well, let's take a look at the third angel's message in Revelation 14:9-12 ...'And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man WORSHIP the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.'
Before we look at the connection between the mark of the beast and the seal of God. Did you notice that word "worship"? Again, this verse dispells the myth about the mark being a physical mark, because it is not about physical things. It is about WORSHIP, ie. SPIRITUAL things. To get the mark of the beast, you would have to be worshipping the beast instead of God. It is a matter of heart and mind, about who we choose to obey and follow. Do we choose to worship God and obey Him, or do we choose to worship the beast and follow it?
We can see the connection between the mark of the beast and the seal of God in the third angel's message above. At the end, there will be two classes of people. Those who receive the mark of the beast and those who receive the seal of God. Now the angel talks plainly about those who receive the mark and what will happen to them. And the angel also mentions the saints. So if the saints are those who haven't taken the mark, then what do they have? They have the seal of God. And why do they have the seal of God? Is it because they refused to take a microchip or tattoo or ID card? No, they have the seal because they "KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD AND THE FAITH OF JESUS."
So if the fact that those who don't receive the mark of the beast is down to them keeping the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. Then the reverse is also true that those who DO receive the mark of the beast are the one's who DON'T keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. Do you see why these cannot simply be physical marks? It's all down to how we follow God. Do we obey Him and do His will? Or do we simply think we can worship Him our own way and follow the tradition of MAN instead?
I can confidently say that if you serve God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, keeping His commandments and following the Lord Jesus Christ, then you will NOT receive the mark of the beast, even if a microchip was forced upon you. So what is the mark of the beast? Well, the clue is in the phrase itself. It's the mark OF THE BEAST. So to find out, we need to know who the beast is. If you click on THE BEAST, you will see that it is the Papal Church of Rome. So the mark of the beast will be the mark of the Roman Catholic Church. Amazingly, they have even told us in the past what the mark is!! ...
"Of course the change (from Sabbath to Sunday) was her act .... and the act is a MARK of her ecclesiastical power and authority in religious matters." (signed by H.F.Thomas, Chancellor for Cardinal Gibbons, in a letter dated Nov. 11, 1895)
"Sunday is our MARK of authority ..... the church is above the Bible, and this transference of Sabbath observance is proof of that fact." (Catholic record of London, Ontario, Sept. 1, 1923)

Remember, to receive the mark of the beast, we would need to go against the commandments of God. What commandment does the above quotes go against? And what commandment do the majority of Christians break every week? The 4th commandment concerning the 7th day sabbath. So while the world is waiting for a physical mark to come along, Satan has already deceived them into breaking God's commandments and they are ready to receive the REAL mark of the beast.
Friend, the seal of God and the mark of the beast are both spiritual marks that we receive as a sign of who we give allegiance to. If we give allegiance to the beast power, under the economic pressure that is coming and the enforced Sunday law, then we will receive a spiritual mark of that beast. But if we give our allegiance to God and keep His commandments, following the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will receive a spiritual seal from God, through the Holy Spirit of God.
